Karuna Kare Foundation was created in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, in October, 2004, by a cancer patient who himself had experienced the trauma of this disease. KKF was started with a simple idea of creating a voluntary support group to provide emotional support to cancer patients and their families/care givers.

It has been formed with an aim to support cancer patients socially, emotionally and financially. We are a team of dedicated volunteers who believe in providing total support to cancer patient and his/her family members. We strongly believe in providing Love, Hope and Dignity to all cancer patient to fight the disease and maintain the quality of life.





 

Our major activities include:

  • Operating of Guidance cell at Cancer Hospital for the patients and their family members
    .
  • Providing counseling help to all patients and family members for emotional support. Training and guidance is also provided to the family members/caretakers on how to support and take care of cancer family/caretakerers member.
  • U.sing group theraphy for experience sharing exercise to accept the status and go ahead positively with the treatment
  • Promoting network for social workers, doctors, experts and volunteers for the benefit of patients.
  • Providing doorstep volunteer services for palliative care.
  • Collecting and distributing medicines, books, games, toys etc. for pediatric patients.
  • Publishing informative material on various axpects of differant type of cancer for cancer patients.
  • Fund raising is inevitable to run such activities and programs are arranged to raise fund.
