The Patient Adoption
Scheme(PAS) is promoted by GCRI, GCS and government.
This scheme is specially for the pediatric ward i.e.
for just born to 16 years children. Under the scheme
any individual or institute can donate Rs. 15000/- only
and the patient is given full treatment free of cost
from this fund + fund received from the government and
other institutions.
KKF will adopt one or more child patient
every year depending on the funds available.
On completion of the first year, KKF
adopted the first child patient(Case No. P8339, Unit
1), 7 year old Karanpuri Jagdishpuri Goswami born on
14.9.98 hailing from Powa, Dist. Pali in Rajasthan.
We have been informed by his doctors that he os most
likely to survive as he has been adopted very timely.
The estimated cost of the medicines and treatment including
all tests etc., which he will be getting during the
treatment would be nothing less then Rs. 1 lakh to Rs.
1.20 lakh, which his father could never have been able
to afford on an earning of Rs. 1200 p.m. He had already
sold off his ancestors’ property of a small farm
and all his wife’s jewelry and silver for the
initial treatment.
Karanpuri is dreaming of becoming a
cricket player and has promised to work hard and study
well. KKF plans to finance partly his education once
he is totally well and discharged from the hospital. |
